Backlinks: Quality or Quantity?
Backlinks are a vital component of a successful search engine optimisation campaign. But should you concentrate your efforts on sheer volume, or go for a more cultured approach and select only relevant links?
In the past, quantity of links may have done the trick. However in an increasingly sophisticated Search Engine arena, quality links are more highly regarded. But what is a quality backlink?

Google Earth: Virtual Fly-By
Google has just made public the first version of its anticipated geographic search and mapping technology, Google Earth.
Google Earth combines satellite images and maps with local search. Using technology from the recently acquired Keyhole satellite-imaging technology, Google Earth can make anyone into a virtual bird capable of flying over Canada, the US, the UK and 38 major cities around the world.

Google Dance in Motion
You may have noticed that Google is acting a little strangely at the moment - displaying odd results, pages being listed that haven't been there for months, inbound links up and down.
This strange behaviour may be due to an index update. This basically means that Google is changing the the way it searches for results within its database.
This dance may take several days and in the meantime we will all have to sit tight and wait. Some web sites may disappear off the face of the planet, others may come out on top, who knows........
